Parents and Students:
It is that time to mark your calendars for spring testing. The state has made some changes to testing. Last year’s legislature saw an end to the High School Graduation Qualifying Exam (HSGQE) and replaced it with a College and Career Readiness Assessment Requirement, which will now take place during the 11th grade year. The Alaska WorkKeys make up test will be administered April 1st.
The state has kept the SBA Science testing for grade 10 with one test date. The state has changed the format of Reading, Writing, and Math, moving from three to two testing days. Other changes to assessments saw most of the state switch to online assessments for the new Alaska Measures of Progress (AMP) assessment. Cyber Lynx was granted permission to provide students with the paper version of the test this year. Testing will be at the Spenard Recreation Center.
